About
Hello! Welcome to our American Government and Economics class at Estrella Foothills High School. My name is Lee Tran and I am very excited to be here.
This year I am entering education and teaching after 18 years in the corporate arena. During this time, I had worked as a senior executive at some of the largest multinational companies in the world. Although, my long career had taken me to several different countries, I have mostly worked and traveled in Asia, Europe and Australia.
As a teenager growing up in the small town of East Hampton, Connecticut, I did not dream of living and working overseas. However, I discovered early on that education and hard work can really take me wherever I wanted to go. In 1987, I graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science . Three years later, I went on to study International Business and Diplomacy, and in 1990, obtained a Master degree in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
Having experienced success and enjoyment in my career, I want to bring my skills and passion to help young people obtain an meaningful education and prepare for a life of success ahead.
My fields of teaching are American Government and Economics. It is my goal that this website will serve as a platform to supplement our classroom activities as well as a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas. I hope you will find this website useful, insightful and interesting.
I’d like to thank Mr. Diller for giving me the opportunity to work with him in his classroom and I look forward to a fun and productive year with all of you.
